Congratulations Heidi Jannenga!

WebPT is delighted to announce that Dr. Heidi Jannenga, co-founder and president of WebPT, has been named the recipient of the prestigious 2018 Marilyn Moffat Leadership Award, which honors individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and made significant contributions to the physical therapy (PT) profession. The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Board of Directors will formally announce Dr. Jannenga as the winner of the award during APTA’s NEXT Conference and Exposition.

The namesake of the award, Dr. Marilyn Moffat, is an internationally recognized PT leader. An NYU professor of physical therapy and former APTA president, Dr. Moffat is known for her educational writings, research, advocacy and clinical excellence. Award nominees are evaluated based on their positive leadership contributions over a period of 15 years or more; lasting impact on the physical therapy profession; and service to the APTA, the local community and the profession as a whole.

“Heidi has empowered countless rehab therapists — and aspiring therapists — to achieve greatness in practice, advocate for their profession and embrace innovation as a means of improving patient care and fueling business growth. She’s an inspiring example of how one passionate person driven by a deeper purpose can profoundly impact the lives of many. From the care she provided her clients as a practicing PT to running a sports rehab clinic to founding and growing WebPT, Heidi has dedicated her career to advancing the industry.” – Nancy Ham.

On top of her clinical and business success, Dr. Jannega has lobbied for the passage of pro-PT legislation at both the state and national levels; mentored and guided other therapy professionals as well as entrepreneurs; and spearheaded a number of branding, charitable giving and other initiatives with the interest of moving the entire rehab therapy community forward.

“I am truly humbled to accept the Marilyn Moffat Leadership Award. To receive an award named after such a remarkable woman is an incredible honor. I’m proud to join the ranks of some phenomenal PT leaders who have selflessly pushed to raise the bar for the entire physical therapy profession and advocate for its rightful place in the healthcare continuum.” – Heidi Jannenga.
