Chris Worsfold Talks Neck Pain Rehabilitation

This interview was recorded as part of the cervical spine course.

Neck pain is debilitating and disorientating. It is frustrating as physiotherapists when we don’t know how to help our patients. Out of all 291 conditions studied in the Global Burden of Disease 2010 Study, neck pain ranked 4th highest in terms of disability as measured by YLDs (Years Lived with Disability), and 21st in terms of overall burden.

When it comes to the neck, it’s understandable why we don’t always have the answer.

The neck is a complex structure but with the help of clinical experts, such as Chris Worsfold, it can be made a bit easier to understand. Chris is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist who works in private practice in the UK and is at the forefront of neck pain assessment and rehabilitation. He is a big advocate for physio and has represented the profession in parliament during the whiplash medico-legal reform a few years ago.

Get to grips with your understanding of how to assess and rehabilitate cervical dysfunction by watching this interview. Chris will help you make sense of musculoskeletal masqueraders and understand the importance of investigating red flags during your assessment.
