New cost calculator for physio services

Hire me! The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy has released an online tool that makes it easy to show GPs how much they would save by employing a physiotherapist in their primary care practice.

Physiotherapists registered with the CSP can use this tool to calculate how much money a GP would save – and the dollars can add up quickly.

Andy Lord, CSP project manager for Physiotherapy Works, gives this example:

‘They can then go to a GP and say “look, if you took us on we could save you £20,000 in the next six months and you could see your patients for five minutes longer”, or whatever the calculated benefits might be.’

Is this a tool you would use? Have you struggled to convince GPs to hire you? Let us know in the comments section below!
