I recently attended the National Osteoporosis Foundation annual meeting in New Orleans and met Josee Delisle. Josee is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and researcher at Hopital Jean Talon in Montreal. She is currently leading a 10 year study (of 543 patients) on the effectiveness of a liaison program for patients with systemic fractures. The program is managed by clinical nurse specialists instead of orthopaedic surgeons.
