Following the success of our recent open course on the physiotherapy management of spinal cord injuries, which was WCPT accredited and attracted nearly 4000 participants, we are busy planning our next MOOC (massive open online course). Actually we’re planning a few, but our Amputee course is a bit further down the line than others.
The planned Amputee MOOC will be developed and run in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Together we’re looking for experts in amputee rehabilitation and education who might like to contribute to this course. There will be opportunities to get involved in content development, content review course moderation and academic publications following the course.
So, if you’re interested in getting involved in one of the most exciting new methods of online education and professional development for the global physiotherapy and physical therapy profession and have a small altruistic streak, this might just be the new project that you are looking to get involved with.
To find out more please email Rachael at [email protected] with a brief description of your experience in amputee rehabilitation (experience in education or clinical teaching would be highly desirable).
