Dr. Larry Benz to Speak at 2013 Healthy, Wealthy & Smart Virtual Conference

Dr. Laurence Benz, DPT, OCS, MBA and Co-Founder of Evidence in Motion (EIM) is set to speak at 2013’s Healthy, Wealthy & Smart, a virtual conference hosted by Karen Litzy, MS, PT, on November 4-8, 2013.

As one of twenty experts speaking at the conference, Dr. Benz will present “Left Out and Forgotten: What PTs Are Missing in Patient Care” which will address avenues other than hands-on intervention that physical therapists can use to improve patient outcomes. Throughout the course of his presentation, Dr. Benz will answer the following questions:

As physical therapists, have we fully understood how we consciously or unconsciously influence patient care through measures other than direct hands on interventions?
Have we internalized how our framing of patient problems and our resultant verbal and nonverbal clinical behavior influence patient outcomes?
