The 4th Congress on Physiotherapy Education of the European Region of WCPT (ER-WCPT) is calling for applications for members to serve on its Scientific Committee. Applications for members to serve on the ER-WCPT Education Congress Scientific Committee are now invited. The period of office is from 2014 to the end of the Congress evaluation period (Spring 2017). The CSP, in close collaboration with ER-WCPT, will review all applications to ensure the composition of the committees provides complementary skills and knowledge to fulfil its duties.
People with the following expertise are invited to apply:
- Member from a research/educational background with relevant international experience and/or presenting at international conferences.
- Member from a research/clinical practice background with relevant international experience and/or presenting at international conferences.
- Member with experience in scientific programme planning at international or national level.
- Member with peer reviewed presentations and publication track record.
- Member with e-learning experience.
Only individuals who are members of a WCPT member organisation are eligible to be appointed. Applicants need to have the ability to work effectively in English. Member Organisations would be contacted to confirm the good standing of the selected candidates.
Membership of the Scientific Committee requires commitment of time to attend the 1 or 2 quarterly meetings (videoconferencing facilities available) and to undertake activities as required. The Committee will be supported by CSP staff. Expenses to cover the costs of attending the meetings will be reimbursed.
The Executive Committee of ER-WCPT will nominate the chair of the Scientific Committee after a proposal by the CSP. The proposed candidate, as chair of the Scientific Committee, must be a physiotherapist with a PhD degree.
Interested individuals should submit their CV’s and a statement of max 500 words including previous experience, stating how their expertise will benefit the Scientific Committee and whether they can commit to the time necessary to fulfil the duties. The submission needs to be accompanied by a letter of support from the respective WCPT member organisation.
