This October, Rachael and I had the pleasure of attending the 2013 Physiotherapy UK conference run by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
This conference comes at an opportune time for the physiotherapy profession in the UK with the recent selection of a new CEO for the CSP, Karen Middleton. There is change in the air and it is up to physiotherapists to drive the direction of the profession for the future.
One of the highlights for us was the Founders Lecture given by Dr Emma Stokes who highlighted the opportunities in physiotherapy and the importance of creativity and innovation. See the video below for a recap of her lecture (Rachael stars briefly in this video, see if you can spot her…).
We spent a large part of the conference learning about new products offered by the conference vendors, meeting old friends and making new connections. It was extremely pleasing to hear about how Physiopedia is being widely used in the UK and for the very positive feedback we received when explaining the project and ideas for the future.
We really enjoyed the conference and found it a great opportunity to catch up with the profession in the UK, I think we will be making it a regular fixture!
