Physiopedia is excited to announce a new partnership with the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT). Representing more than 350,000 physical therapists worldwide through its 106 member organisations, WCPT is an international voice for our physical therapy profession. The vision of the WCPT, to move physical therapy forward so the profession is recognised globally for its significant role in improving health and wellbeing, is very much aligned with our own mission to contribute to improving global health. With such similar goals it only seems natural that both organisations should join forces to collaborate in our resembling missions.
Tracy Bury, WCPT’s Director of Professional Policy , said: “Physiopedia has an evidence based approach to physical therapy, and offers opportunities for all physical therapists to develop as professionals. WCPT thoroughly supports these aims and principles, and we hope that together our two organisations can help promote our principles, as well as our services and products.”
Physiopedia has had a close relationship with the WCPT for a few years now and we are excited to be able to bring that relationship to you. We will be communicating on recent issues, developments and ideas to jointly share them through our networks. We will cooperate on our exclusive experiences of providing a valued service to the international profession, sharing our knowledge and findings on a regular basis. By doing this we hope to work together to unite, represent and promote our amazing profession on a global scale.
