APTA launches campaigns for National Physical Therapy Month.

The American Physical Therapy Association has designated October as National Physical Therapy Month. Many campaigns are running across America during the month. This includes “50 ways, 50 days”, a health promotion campaign where APTA will share a tip a day via social media on various methods of injury prevention and how to maintain and improve fitness.

The “Fit after 50” move forward campaign is focused on educating the public on the importance of staying fit as they get older in order to achieve long-term quality of life. Furthermore, the campaign hopes to publicise the important role that physiotherapists play in helping people remain active and fit by providing individualised exercise programs that can improve both balance and mobility, and reduce the risk of injury.
