First Official CPD Project in Physiopedia in Collaboration with the Physiotherapy Pain Association.

PPA

In collaboration with the Physiotherapy Pain Association (PPA) we are pleased to announce the first official structured continuing education and professional development project in Physiopedia.  Physiotherapists and physical therapists from all over the world are invited to contribute articles to the Pain section of Physiopedia.  These articles will be reviewed by the PPA and once approved the author will be awarded with an official certificate of completion.

The PPA is the Professional Network of the UK`s Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and part of its recently formed NeuroMusculoskeletal Alliance. Martin Hey, chair of the PPA, and primary contact for the recently formed WCPT Physical Therapy Pain Network, said “we are both pleased and proud to lead this project by supervising development of the Physiopedia Pain section. As a project-in-development we intend to populate the site with practical, credible and thought-provoking information on the science of pain, its assessment and management.”

Much of the direction for this project will be guided by the new IASP Curriculum Outline on Pain for Physical Therapy.  Any one is welcome to join in this project , you will be joining people from all over the world in contributing evidence based articles to create an evidence based reference on Pain.  In return for your efforts you will be provided with a certificate of completion to evidence your learning and professional development through your involvement with this project and also a user contribution badge for there profile page in Physiopedia (more on badges coming soon!).
