CSM, the final round up.

Wow, what a great event!  So many people in attendance, so much going on, so much to learn, so many networking events and so many social gatherings.  My first visit to the APTA’s Combined Section Meeting was quite overwhelming.  Not only was it in one of the most fascinating cities in the world, New Orleans, but it is also the most amazing gathering of the most excited and motivated group of physical therapists and physiotherapists I have ever seen. For this I must congratulate the APTA.

I think we all have a lot to learn from this conference.  Conference organisers should look to this model for adding a great networking and social aspect to their own event, also TechnoPalooza was a great idea for introducing some play and fun to the exhibition hall which could probably be extended to other interest areas.  Obviously we can all  learn from the presentations and education sessions that we attend but we can take more from these, soak up the energy,  become motivated, make changes to our practice to improve patient care. For isn’t this the reason we are all here in the first place!
