13th World Congress on Pain

13th World Congress on Pain draws international experts to Montréal from August 29 to September 2, 2010. This year’s congress will include presentations on a wide variety of topics including research findings, cancer and neuropathic pain

The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) World Congress on Pain is back in Montréal for the first time since 1978 with its 13th edition, bringing together more than 6,000 of the world’s leading professionals in the field of pain research and treatment from across Canada and around the world. Media are invited to attend the IASP’s 13th World Congress on Pain’s opening press conference, plenary sessions, and workshops.

The Congress will provide information on the status of research, progress and perspectives on pain management in Canada and the rest of the world. Immediately following the Congress, the IASP will be holding the International Pain Summit in Montréal which will be the first global meeting about the crucial aspects of pain management, with a focus on advocacy and assistance to all countries in the development of national pain strategies.
