PaO2 values in infants <29 weeks of gestation at currently targeted saturations

This article reviews and updates our knowledge regarding the SpO2/PaO2 link. It concludes that saturations withinthe range 85-95% exclude hyperoxia in preterm infants<29 weeks gestation but permit PaO₂ values far lower thanthose recommended in traditional guidelines.

Useful for Neonatal ICU PT performing Chest Physiotherapy on Low Birth Weight babies.
