Posterolateral corner (PLC) injuries continue to present problems for othopaedic surgeons.  Early recognition and treatment are important factors in the patient's long term outcome.  This article gives a comprehensive review of anatomy, diagnosis and treatment options with the aim of improving understanding of PLC injuries.  The authors own surgical techniques are described.
