Arrigo Giombini, Annalisa Di Cesare, Marc R. Safran, Riccardo Ciatti, andNicola Maffulli.

The authors tested the short-term differences between hyperthermia, ultrasound, and exercises as a treatment option for tendinopathy of the supraspinatus tendon.  The authors state that tha results show that patients who received hyperthermia experienced significantly better pain relief than did patients receiving ultrasound or exercises.  They therefore concluded that hyperthermia at 434 MHz appears safe and effective in the short term for the management of supraspinatus tendinopathy.
