Kinetic Control launches the KC Testing and Retraining Catalogue at COPA 2016

Help your patients move better. Kinetic Control launches the KC Testing and Retraining Catalogue at COPA 2016 on June 15, 2016.

The KC Testing and Retraining Catalogue makes testing, diagnosing and retraining simple. Start using a patient-friendly, collaborative approach to management of symptoms and to regain function. The new Kinetic Control exercise catalogue provides movement control solutions for patients with pain and impairment in the neck, thoracic spine, shoulder girdle, lumbar spine and hip.

Based on the popular book, “Kinetic Control – The Management of Uncontrolled Movement”, the KC Testing and Retraining Catalogue:

  • Helps the clinician to apply simple and effective movement control tests to identify impairments based on the location of symptoms and functional impairment. Movement control tests are suggested to diagnose the site and the direction of uncontrolled movement that relate to the clients problem.
  • Provides your patients with web access to live videos of their exercises to help them improve their movement control faster. This system allows them better access to their  retraining programmes and lets them see and understand the subtleties of their home exercise program.

The tests are presented in video format so the therapist can learn and then perform the appropriate movement control tests on their clients and diagnose their clients’ movement control impairments.

After the movement control testing identifies the site and direction of uncontrolled movement, the exercise catalogue provides a large database of movement retraining options for each site and direction of movement control impairment that has been prioritised by testing.

These retraining exercises are based on Kinetic Control’s direction control retraining strategies for the lumbar spine, hip, neck, shoulder and thoracic spine and are one of the quickest ways to start to change symptoms.

Patients can access their retraining on their computer, smartphone or tablet – in short, wherever and whenever it’s convenient for them.
