Have your say on the new PPA pain expertise framework.

The Physiotherapy Pain Association in partnership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy has been working to develop a framework document which describes the knowledge, skills and behaviours at progressive levels of expertise in the management of patients experiencing pain. This was updated following the initial consultation in 2013 and has been informed from feedback from  PPA members and the British Pain Society.  It is not intended to be a competency document, but rather a piece of work to define the skills prior to the development of a competency document due to the breadth of practice in this area.

Have you got your feedback in yet? The consultation period is the end of June – and it would be great to get as many members feeding into this as a PPA document.  It is currently open to all CSP members now to feedback on as well as on a global basis to for the WCPT PTP group. This framework could shape future UK Physiotherapy practice in chronic pain so it is important to have your say now.
