Limiting Lower Back Injuries With Proper Technique and Strengthening

The goal of this commentary is to provide a basic overview for coaches and strength and conditioning practitioners to use in collaboration with the athletic training staff to modify the risk of low-back injuries in their athletes. Safety, screening, and strengthening are 3 key areas discussed, and examples of practical exercises are provided that could be used in a coaching environment.
