Understanding evidence based practice – an interview with Prof. Rob Herbert

As part of a Learn Topic on evidence based practice which is in development for the Physiopedia Members Area we were very fortunate to be able to interview Prof. Rob Herbert. Rob has extensive experience as a practicing researcher and is also a founding director of the PEDro database. He is also a co-author of the text book Practical Evidence-Based Physiotherapy which was updated in a second edition 2012.

In this 34 minute interview Rob gives his perspective on the nature of evidence based practice and the role it has to play in the development of the physiotherapy / physical therapy profession, and also offers his advice for practicing clinicians who are striving to implement this approach in their work with patients.
