New Book Chapters on Tendinopathy

This month we have a whole bunch of incredibly useful book chapters on Tendinopathy from our academic partner Elsevier.  We’ve been using them in the tendinopathy course that is currently running and now they are available to all Physiopedia Plus (PP+) members to access.

Firstly we have a great overview chapter from the recently published 4th edition of Grieves Modern Manual Therapy (read the review of this book):

  • Screen H, Cook J, Rio Ebonie and Lewis J. Tendon and Tendinopathy. Chapter 10 In: Jull et al. Grieve’s Modern Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Elsevier, 2015.

After you’ve read this you might want to home in on a specific anatomical area with one of the following chapters:

  • C. Joseph Yelvington, Ellen Pong, Chapter 48 – Tendinopathies of the Wrist and Hand, Manual Therapy for Musculoskeletal Pain Syndromes an evidence- and clinical-informed approach, Ed. Cesar Fernandez de las Penas, Joshua Cleland and Jan Dommerholt, June 2015, Churchill Livingston.
  • Munteanu, S., Chapter 6 – Achilles tendon, Management of Chronic Conditions in the Foot and Lower Leg, Edited by Keith Rome and Peter McNair, September 2014, Churchill Livingston.
  • Pong, E., Chapter 47 – Tendinopathy of the Knee, Manual Therapy for Musculoskeletal Pain Syndromes an evidence- and clinical-informed approach, Ed. Cesar Fernandez de las Penas, Joshua Cleland and Jan Dommerholt, June 2015, Churchill Livingston.
  • Vicenzino, B., Chapter 39 – Elbow Tendinopathy: Lateral Epicondylalgia, Management of Chronic Conditions in the Foot and Lower Leg, Edited by Keith Rome and Peter McNair, September 2014, Churchill Livingston.
  • Dewitt, J. and Kohlrieser, D., Chapter 35 – Other Hip Disorders: Muscle, Labrum and Bursa, Manual Therapy for Musculoskeletal Pain Syndromes an evidence- and clinical-informed approach, Ed. Cesar Fernandez de las Penas, Joshua Cleland and Jan Dommerholt, June 2015, Churchill Livingston.
