The CSP is undertaking a project to establish the current research priorities for physiotherapy.
There will be four Steering Groups who will work with the CSP to set up four Expert Panels in the following fields of practice (that encompass all areas of clinical interest across the profession, for example, paediatrics, older people, women’s health, acupuncture, aquatic therapy):
- Cardio-respiratory and medical rehabilitation
- Mental and physical health and wellbeing
Each Steering Group will have a maximum of 12 members with a range of expertise in the areas of clinical practice, research, education, management/service provision, service commissioning/planning/purchasing, policy making, guideline panel membership, user group involvement (research funder, patient, carer, public).
The role of Steering Group members will be to select an Expert Panel to undertake the prioritisation exercise, to be an Expert Panel member, to provide advice throughout the project and to support the dissemination strategy.
There will be one meeting of the Steering Groups on Tuesday 20th July, 10.30am – 3.30pm at the CSP. The prioritisation process will all take place by e-mail and questionnaires.
See further details on the project page, including what Steering Group membership involves and the criteria for Steering Group membership.
If you would like to apply to be a Steering Group member send a brief 2-3 page Curriculum Vitae and a statement (maximum 300 words) as to how you fulfil the Steering Group membership criteria. Please indicate the Steering Group you are applying for and confirm that you would be able to attend a meeting on Tuesday 20th July. Applications and any enquiries should be sent to [email protected]
