When you have 6 team members, in 3 different time zones, in 5 different countries, creating an abstract becomes a dynamic process. The image above depicts the week leading up to the submission deadline for WCPT. When one team member was sleeping, another member was editing and providing insights. While one member was seeing patients in their clinical practice, another member was leaving comments, suggestions and words of encouragement. Using google docs and our team’s Slack workspace time zones did not become a barrier to our collaborative process – they were an asset!
The Physiopedia team is looking forward to connecting with the physiotherapy community in 2021 at the WCPT Congress. This year we submitted four abstracts. We are hoping to share some exciting work with the global physiotherapy community, including insights from our massive open online course (MOOC) we offered as a response to COVID-19, our work with MOOCs over the past five years and reflections on Physiopedia’s content development programs.
Physiopedia believes in building and connecting our global physiotherapy community. Every day, physiotherapists from around the globe unite on our platforms. Together, through abstracts, Physiospots, Physiopedia page edits, and Physioplus courses, we work at our mission to improve global health through universal access to physiotherapy knowledge.
