World PT Day takes place every year on 8 September. The day is an opportunity for physiotherapists from all over the world to raise awareness about the crucial contribution the profession makes to keeping people well, mobile and independent.
The theme for World PT Day 2020 will focus on rehabilitation and COVID-19 something which will be at the forefront of our minds for months and possibly years to come. Our profession is uniquely placed to step up and contribute to the challenge and help our most vulnerable people regain independence and quality of life in ways we have never seen before. Although it is easy at this stage to have COVID-19 fatigue and the thought of seeing and creating more resources is exhausting, this is our time to rise to the challenge.
Contribute to World PT Day in a New Way
This year why don’t you contribute to World Physiotherapy day in a different way and help Physiopedia build the biggest evidence based COVID-19 rehab resource for all clinicians worldwide. It’s easier to get involved than you think, we have a specific content development project you can contribute to. We have a team of volunteers to help you get up to speed and share your expertise on the biggest stage.
Looking for Resources?
Infographics, posters and resources will be available on the new World Physiotherapy website in the next week or so. Content is being translated into most languages of the world and if you want to contribute to the translating efforts you can!
Please remember to adhere to your local social distancing rules if you are planning to hold events.
