Evidence In Motion (EIM) is excited to announce a new program offering, The EIM Institute for Managerial Leadership with optional Transition DPT. This program is designed specifically for physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals who are looking to sharpen their management skills and become effective leaders.
“Typically, clinicians do not receive any formal business or management training during the course of their education,” states Larry Benz, DPT, MBA, OCS, EIM co-owner. “The EIM Institute for Managerial Leadership fills this gap by teaching clinicians how to be great leaders and managers.”
The EIM Institute for Managerial Leadership is a 12-month program of post-professional education, broadly applicable to everyone from a recent graduate who wants to be considered for a leadership role to an experienced clinician running a hospital department. The program is designed to enhance the management and leadership skills of clinical professionals wishing to make a substantial impact on their environment while increasing their career satisfaction. “Busy-work” is non-existent in the program curriculum, as all coursework is directly applicable to participants’ daily responsibilities.
This program is a blended curriculum with the majority online and augmented with three on-site intensives. This blended learning approach has the strongest evidence of learning effectiveness and provides flexibility for participants who wish to continue in their current job while furthering their education. The three on-sites that are required during the program take place at the beginning, middle, and end of the 12-month program. For physical therapists who wish to pursue their transition doctoral degree, four additional clinical courses can be completed, either before, during, or after completion of the management/leadership courses.
